Page editor
Our block based editor allows you to create and edit advanced layouts and pages with no coding knowledge.
We trust in it's speed, SEO and advanced abilities so much so, we use it for our very own multilingual, high traffic website. Including the help section you're currently reading!
Panels
- Blocks - here you'll find blocks and block collections to help you build a page from scratch or enhance an existing page. Simply drag and drop anything from here onto your page
- Tree - a tree view of the entire page layout. You can select and drag and drop blocks from here. For organisation you can even rename a block from here, simply double click, type a new name and hit enter to save the new name
- Properties - here you can edit the properties of a currently selected block. Click the accodian tabs to expand more properties
- Document - here you can edit the properties of the document itself, such as title, keywords and tags.
Toolbar
The toolbar lets you create new pages and page variants. Change device type to simulate and tweak your website for tablet and mobile devices.
Blocks
Here you'll find blocks and block collections to help you build a page from scratch or enhance an existing page. Simply drag and drop anything from here onto your page.
The basic collection contains most commonly used blocks.
Use a combination of row and column blocks to create column layouts.

Tree
Provides tree view of the entire page structure.
From here you can select and drag and drop blocks from here. For organisation you can even rename a block from here, simply double click, type a new name and hit enter to save the new name.
Blocks that are coloured red are blocks that cannot be moved or deleted. These are normally blocks that have been inherited from a parent page. However the properties of these blocks can still be edited regardless.
Properties
When you select a block the properties panel will automatically be populated with all the properties that can be set or overridden by the block.
Depending on the block you may see a mixture of widgets such as color pickers, text inputs and dropdown lists.
Our navigation and footer blocks contain the most options, including the ability to create multi tiered menus.
Notice the reset icon to the right of each widget? This unsets a property. If there's 1 or more parent pages, this will allow whatever value that is inherited to be displayed.
Resize handles
Selected blocks are surrounded by resize handles. These are a convenience as they allow you to quickly edit the padding, margin, size and inset properties of a block. All of these properties can also be entered or unset from the style section of a block's properties.
Hiding a block
Although blocks inherited from a parent can't be truly deleted, they can be hidden from view. Clicking the hide button will toggle visibility. You can also find this under Style > Display > 'Hidden'. This can be a useful feature for page locale variants.
Document
Switch to the document panel to edit the current document's properties.
- Parent page - what page should this inherit from? (usually a master layout that contains your navigation and footer)
- Live - should the page accessible by the public? If false, the page will return a 404 not found page when viewing the website.
- Category - what category does this page belong to?
- Tags - think of these like sub categories, as these are related to the category you selected
- Hashtags - similar to tags but these aren't limited to a single category
Note: you can manage all categories, tags hashtags in the admin area.
Properties unique to each page variation
If you're editing a page variation
- Locales - which locale(s) should the page variation be used for?
- URL slug - excluding the domain name, the full URL for this page
- Title - the page title, displayed in the title bar and in search engines
- Description - a meta tag used for SEO purposes. We also use this as a short description of the page in some areas, such as dynamic search
- Keywords - a meta tag used for SEO purposes
- Image - a meta image. This is the image that will be displayed when a page is shared on social media
Creating a new page
In admin area
To create a new page, simply visit the pages section and click new page.
Enter a title and optionally you can choose a page type.
In most cases you'll want to choose a parent page, and usually your website's master layout which contains a navigation bar and page footer.
After creating the page it will open in the editor, where you can edit the page's content and add SEO (search engine optimisations) such as keywords.
In editor
When editing a page in the editor, you can create a new page from the 'New' dropdown menu.
- A sibling is a page that uses the same parent as the page you're currently editing.
- A child is a page that will inherit from the page you're currently editing.
- If you're making a multilingual website, new variation will let you create a new locale variant of the current page

Delete a page from the app area by clicking the delete icon. You can delete multiple pages at once by
Understanding parent, children and siblings
Our system is a little unique, in that layouts and pages are synonymous.
Created and built using the same editor. The only difference is how the page is used.
Inspired by object oriented programming, our system uses inheritance: pages can inherit from 1 or more parent pages.
All properties can be overridden in a child page, but the layout inherited from parent pages is fixed.
